Microwave Door Glass Is Foggy

Microwave door glass is foggy.

As a result moisture in the infiltrating air can condense when conditions are right colder outer glass against warm air inside the glass panel causing the glass to develop the hazy fogginess that most everyone has seen. If moisture is noticed between the glass allow the microwave door to stand open for approximately 15 minutes to accelerate the dissipation of the moisture. The fogginess may come and go depending on weather conditions. Therefore you will need to start out by drilling a hole in the gasket for the moisture to escape.

Heat causes the panes to expand and contract and it softens and weakens the seals until they develop a crack in their armor and allow moist air in. The main problem with a foggy sliding glass door is that the gasket is no longer sealed. To keep the windows looking their best use a homemade cleaning solution that cleans the glass and removes the haze without chemicals or other harmful ingredients. I just installed a new kenmore elite advantium 120 microwave in oct of 2007. Even the most elastic flexible seal can t last forever.

I would not continue to operate this oven until i have it fixed.
